Burnout or depression? Learning the difference
They can look alike from the outside. Here's how to listen more closely to what your exhaustion is telling you.

Many people arrive at our door saying they’re simply tired. Tired of work, of people, of themselves. Sometimes that’s burnout; sometimes it’s depression; often it’s a bit of both.
Where the two overlap
Both can bring flatness, poor sleep and a sense that effort no longer pays off. The difference often lies in scope: burnout tends to cling to one area of life, while depression seeps into everything.
A gentle self-check
Notice whether rest helps. If a long weekend restores you, burnout is the likelier story. If even good things feel grey, it’s worth talking to someone.
Either way, you don’t need a diagnosis to deserve support.
